Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Selections from Doncaster, Ffos Las, Huntingdon, Newcastle and Thurles

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Doncaster

2.10: Ajay's Ways

There should be more to come from Ajay's Ways(nap) now back up in trip, so he can overcome a 4lb rise and make it 2-2 over fences. No Cruise Yet (second choice) and Clondaw Pretender arrive in form and head the dangers. Peter's Portrait is hardly a solid option given his lack of action in the last 15 months but his yard is in form and it wouldn't be a surprise were he to go well in first-time blinkers.
Andrew Sheret

Ffos Las

3.37: Fairlawn Flyer

Peter Bowen's Fairlawn Flyer(nap) was strong up the home straight when making it 2-2 over C&D a month ago and he looks progressive. The runner-up Alkopop is entitled to make a race of it with his 7lb pull, while Dock Road is a possible improver now sent over a trip he's bred for.
Alistair Jones

Huntingdon

3.45: Thunder Rock

Progressive novice Thunder Rock(nap) looks well treated on the form of his success at Wetherby where he beat Cobblers Dream, who has since won two handicaps including the Lanzarote. The selection should have more to offer. Dorking Boy (second choice) and Mengli Khan are the biggest threats judged on last-time-out performances.
Steve Boow

Newcastle

7.00: Clear Angel

Oriental Lilly should go well with Paul Mulrennan back on board, while Deevious Beau and Power Point also come into the reckoning. The unexposed Clear Angel(nap) has shown clear winning potential this winter and he can break his duck at the sixth time of asking.
Paul Smith

Thurles

4.30: Shean Glory

Not the strongest handicap hurdle and Shean Glory (nap) might be the one to take advantage having run well over an insufficient 2m at Limerick last week and she's entitled to come on for that first run in five months. Round The Buoy, a winner last time, should be involved again despite a 12lb hike and he rates as the main danger to the selection.
