Harmonya Maker has questions to answer seeing that her bumper career failed to progress as well as might have been hoped, but she appears to be a stronger contender for this than stablemate Ginnets Girl.

Last year's winner Sorbet wasn't at her best when last seen and the pair to focus on could be the in-form Princess T and the unexposed MULLENBEG (nap). The selection needs more than when winning at Plumpton 15 days ago but her very useful bumper form offers plenty of encouragement that she will prove well handicapped.

This can go to JET OF MAGIC (nap) who was generally progressive last season and should improve again on his first run for Paul Nicholls. The ex-French Nambiti and the improving novice Fountains Chief are others to consider.

Having finished second behind the subsequent Kim Muir winner Chambard when last seen, STORM ARISING (nap) could well go one better off the same mark. Second choice is Tallow For Coal, who is the youngest horse in the field and looks open to further progress this season. Frenchy Du Large, Pemberley and Certainly Red are also in the mix.

A warm handicap containing a couple of AW newcomers, with the lightly raced Jack Darcy the most interesting, but the vote goes to four-time course winner KING OF THE SOUTH (nap) who has a Tapeta record reading 1122131114 and is back off his last winning mark. The main danger may come from Sir Chauvelin who has a good C&D record and is also off his last winning mark. He could bounce back at any time.
