Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Wednesday picks from Bangor, Bellewstown, Catterick, Kempton and Nottingham

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable spotlights team

Bangor

1.10: Glorious Spirit

A real mixed bag. Glorious Spirit (nap) hasn't looked back since having a wind op and is taken to follow up her taking Sedgefield debut hurdling win. The consistent Sinndarella appeals as the one to chase her home, although a market move for Dan Skelton's hurdling newcomer She's So Lovely would put a different slant on things.
Peter Entwistle

Bellewstown

2.35: Navorrosse

With Colin Keane retaining the ride, Navorrosse (nap) may recover losses incurred when she was a beaten favourite at Gowran 11 days ago, form boosted by the runner-up at Listowel. Blyton and Basrah Breeze have run with credit in races at this venue and appeal as place possibilities. Sahreej, a very long time without a win, also makes some appeal.
Alan Sweetman

Catterick

3.20: Scheherazade

Three Castles looks a serious contender again, while Tomorrow's Angel and Near Kettering, who was unlucky at Musselburgh last time, are respected. However, preference is for Scheherazade (nap), who is open to some improvement at this sort of trip and may have been found a good opportunity to add to her Lingfield win in June.
Jonathan Doidge

Kempton

6.30: Sky Power

If able to build on his fine effort in a Lingfield conditions event last time Bugle Major would have to be a player, while Aced It should go well despite being 11lb above his last winning mark. However, Sky Power (nap) looks the one to be on as Ralph Beckett's gelding comes into this fresher than most and still remains open to further progress.
David Bellingham

Nottingham

2.30: Aristobulus

Vince Lombardi won well at Chepstow last time but a 7lb rise against stronger opposition might prove beyond him. Liamarty Dreams and Magic Warrior revert to 6f and have claims but Aristobulus (nap) looks the one to beat. He won impressively over course-and-distance last month and his subsequent defeat came in a hot race at the Ebor meeting. This looks less demanding and he can resume his progress.
