Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Our Sunday fancies from Fontwell, Kelso, Navan, Punchestown and Uttoxeter

Sunday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Fontwell

4.10: Sammylou

This can go to Sammylou (nap), who made very good progress over this sort of trip on good ground in the early part of last season and didn't have conditions in his favour when returning this month from a break. Expect him to be ridden very patiently. Rumble B ran quite well when back over hurdles in a Stratford maiden two weeks ago and is second choice, ahead of Milrow.
Chris Wilson

Kelso

3.42: Lulu Baloo

The unexposed mare Lulu Baloo (nap), won comfortably when upped in trip to 2m7f on last month's handicap debut at Newcastle and a 9lb rise may not be enough to prevent her following up. Lissen To The Lady has won twice this spring, including here, and is second choice ahead of Doune Castle and Dequall.
Ben Hutton

Navan

4.05: Earl Of Tyrone

Despite having work to do to reverse the form of his last run at Leopardstown, Earl Of Tyrone (nap), appeals as one who could be better than his mark and the application of blinkers for the first time should sharpen him up nicely. He gets the nod over Bear Story, who was unfortunate to bump into Sir Lamorak last time and Baton Rouge, needing a big effort off 9st 10lb. There shouldn't be much between Snowy Owl and Iowa.

Punchestown

4.25: Corey Lord

Another competitive little handicap, the strength of which is at the top. Shes Some Doll will be thereabouts if able to reproduce her Downpatrick form, while Justbecool and Drifting Back both make plenty of appeal. Preference though is for Corey Lord (nap), who has been improving in maiden hurdles and looks reasonably treated on his handicap bow.
Justin O'Hanlon

Uttoxeter

4.32: Renwick

Many of these have a bit to prove on one count or another. Frisco Bay retains potential and a cleaner round of jumping should see him go well. Recent Market Rasen winner Well Smitten is a possible, while handicap and chase debutant Billygwyn Too could leave his previous rules efforts behind him. Preference is for Renwick (nap), with the step back up in distance and return of headgear both positives. He looked to retain ability when fourth at Southwell last time and his best hurdle effort came at this track.
Paul Smith
