Thirsk

1.10:Ghathanfar

The manner in which Ghathanfar scored at Redcar recently suggests he's a bit better than this 0-75 grade so he's taken to make light of a 6lb rise. Dubai Quality has posted a couple of decent efforts over 7f since joining this yard and merits respect now trying her luck sprinting. The lightly raced End Zone could also have a say if primed for his reappearance.
Andrew Sheret

Bangor

1.25:William H Bonney

It's easy to make a strong case for Dog Of War, who made a very pleasing start to his chasing career at Exeter this month and remains lightly raced but William H Bonney, a very useful hurdler in his prime, was behind a subsequent Aintree festival winner and two other subsequent winners when fourth at Newbury six weeks ago, and there is hope that today's longer trip might suit him better nowadays.
Chris Wilson

Curragh

3.45:Wordsworth

A likely informative maiden. Wordsworth hasn't been seen since finding only subsequent Beresford Stakes winner High Definition too good on his only start here last August and the brother to Kew Gardens should prove smart over middle distances this year. This trip is likely his minimum and he could face stiff opposition in Agrimony, an eyecatcher last autumn and a 2,000 Guineas entry. Zaynudin shaped nicely at Dundalk recently and warrants respect, while Port Philip looks the most interesting of the newcomers.
Alan Hewison

Brighton

6.30:Tin Hat

Those lower in the weights offer little appeal, so this should be fought out by Fred, De Vegas Kid and Tin Hat, with preference for Eve Johnson Houghton's runner, who has been in good form on the AW and whose two career wins have been achieved at this venue. De Vegas Kid may give him most to do.
Keith McHugh

Nottingham

6.15:Russian Virtue

Hundred Isles was impressive on his handicap debut and should go well despite the rise in the weights. Jean Baptiste comes here in good form and is feared but Russian Virtue caught the eye at Doncaster on his reappearance and can take advantage of the same mark.
Paul Smith
