Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Thursday's fancies from Chelmsford, Exeter, Ffos Las, Naas and Southwell

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Naas

11.45: Chiricahua

This could be a good chance for Chiricahua (nap) who has more experience over hurdles than most of these and he only found one too good last time out. French bumper winner Hawai Game is an obvious danger on his first start for Willie Mullins. Mary's Pride shaped like she would appreciate a step up in trip when winning a Fairyhouse bumper on debut.
Phill Anderson

Exeter

1.40: No Rematch

In a fascinating field, the most potent candidates may be No Rematch (nap) on only his second run over fences and De Young Warrior on his first. The way in which No Rematch asserted on the run-in at Chepstow in February suggested that he has plenty more to offer. Classic Ben is third on the list, with Little Red Lion and St Erney also respected and several others need a close look.

Ffos Las

2.25: Credo

Anthony Honeyball sets a poser by running two mares with appealing profiles. Coquelicot scored for the first time over hurdles at Chepstow last month and should go well again, but her stablemate Credo (nap) is completely unexposed and should improve for today's longer trip. She gets the vote, with topweight Anythingforlove the other one to consider.
Richard O'Brien

Southwell

4.15: Louie De Palma

Invincible Larne isn't favoured by the weights under his penalty but he won well on his stable debut on Saturday and should give another bold showing. Politics is still capable of better but the old man of the field Louie De Palma (nap) ended the turf season in good form and may be able to concede the weight all round.
Paul Smith

Chelmsford

6.35: Internationalangel

Polytrack specialist Mohareb could make a big impact if he can rediscover his spark back on this surface, while Papa Stour was a good second in a Class 2 event here last time and is respected on this drop back in grade. However, it is hard to get away from the major improver Internationalangel (nap), who has won five of her last six starts and made it 3-3 over course and distance with a comfortable success two weeks ago.
