Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's eight meetings
Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Ascot
2.45: Super Superjack
He may not have won on any of his last three starts but Super Superjack continues on the upgrade, make no mistake, and the way he travelled and finished in his race at Glorious Goodwood eight days ago suggests that he can win this. Make My Day, whose challenge in that race was ended by interference, found the selection one too good for him over course-and-distance in May and may again come home in second. The dependable Rock Eagle is third on the list, although cases can certainly be made for a few of the others as well.
Richard Austen
Ayr
7.45: Water Of Leith
Majeski Man will be suited by the return to six furlongs and is an interesting prospect for his new yard but Water Of Leith is still well treated on his old form and should be up to defying a penalty if he gets a reasonable pace to aim at. Raydoun may be the best of the remainder.
Emily Weber
Curragh
3.45: Big Baby Bull
A good second at Galway last week, Big Baby Bull retains plenty of appeal off his new mark. Tyrconnell needs luck in running but is certainly on a decent mark, while potential improving three-year-olds lurk in the shape of handicap debutants Janoobi and In Ecstasy.
Alan Hewison
Haydock
3.00: Anmaat
The form of the John Smith's Cup is working out extremely well and the fast-improving winner of that prestigious York handicap, Anmaat, can take this rise in grade in his stride. Grocer Jack bolted up in a Listed race at Newbury last time out and is second choice. Peter The Great and Royal Champion have impressed in handicaps this summer and these progressive four-year-olds could also be involved, along with the John Smith's Cup third Intellogent.

Kilbeggan
5.55: Mr Macphisto
This will not take much winning and Mr Macphisto has fairly obvious claims of following up his recent course win from just 4lb higher. Cracklinrose could be the main threat and is taken to chase the selection home again. Bergentown has been in poor form but he has come down to a good mark on his peak efforts and Mr Brogue showed a bit more last time out.
Phill Anderson
Lingfield
6.05: Jumra
Last-time-out winners Girlswannahavefun and Royal Mariner have something to recommend them but Jumra pulled a long way clear of the third when second at Ffos Las 12 days ago and she gets the vote. Rowdown Roza caught the eye over course-and-distance last time and isn't a forlorn hope either.
Paul Smith
Newmarket
4.20: Love De Vega
Sole three-year-old Love De Vega should be up to coping with a 6lb rise against these older opponents assuming a second outing in quick succession after an absence doesn't come too soon. Bunbury Cup runner-up Ropey Guest can follow him home.
Andrew Sheret
Redcar
3.27: Azano
With another uncontested lead on the cards, Azano could well maintain his unbeaten record at this venue. Improving three-year-old Golden Voice is feared most, ahead of Scottish Summit who ran well in this race last year.
