Nap of the day: best horse racing picks for the day's four meetings

Thursday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Chepstow

1.55: Mind Hunter

On the back of a solid handicap debut at Doncaster and with the blinkers retained, Mind Hunter (nap) could well open his account. Given the trip, Henri Le Bon is feared most but Camembert Electric, Justshortofabubble and Karakoram all have possibilities (in that order of preference) provided they cope well with the drop back to 2m.
Steve Boow

Cork

4.55: Mankhool

An opening mark of 109 looks workable for Mankhool (nap) who has improved of late and still has fewer miles on the clock than most of his rivals. Indie Belle is a mare in form and she can go well again despite a 4lb rise for a narrow defeat last time. It's easy to see Missiee in the mix again after gaining a second win in her last four starts at Gowran earlier this month.
Phill Anderson

Huntingdon

1.30: Felton Bellevue

Our Idic Boy still has time to do better and the switch to chasing could squeeze out more from him but Felton Bellevue (nap) is on the up himself and he can gain his third win of the year.
Paul Smith

Sedgefield

3.17: Ashington

The rejuvenated Desaray Girl arrives on a four-timer and can go well once more but this looks tougher under a penalty. Ashington (nap) is now 2lb lower than when winning this last year and earns the vote with the form of his last-time-out fourth at Kelso working out well. The consistent Zafar could also be in the mix, while course winner Lord Torranaga is an interesting candidate on his first hurdle outing since December 2020.
