This six-year-old was quite well beaten in a bumper that is likely to be informative, but he ran a far more eyecatching race than the bare facts suggest.

Racing just off the pace, he travelled well through the race until he was tightened up a bit as they turned into the straight. After getting back on to an even keel, he looked like laying down a challenge but was again squeezed up between horses. His chance was gone and he was allowed come home in his own time.
