This time last week John Gosden introduced the smart-looking Dreamfield, who hammered his rivals in a Nottingham maiden.

The horse wants to be good, having fetched 1,100,000gns as a yearling, but he sure did look the part, really knuckling down to power clear in the closing stages despite having been headstrong early on.

The first foal of the same trainer's dual Group 1 winner Izzi Top, he might, I suppose, be one for next Saturday's Group 3 Horris Hill at Newbury, or maybe Gosden will wait for a Guineas trial next year. Either way, it'll be fascinating to see what this Godolphin-owned colt does next.
