Monarchs Glen should soar to new heights next year

Lostintranslation
Trainer: Colin Tizzard

2nd, Chepstow, October 14
When appraising novice hurdles at this time of year, ask yourself which horse you would expect to win if the race was rerun six months later. Lostintranslation failed to hold off winner Dynamite Dollars on the run-on of this 2m contest, but if they met again I would expect him to turn the tables. On this hurdles debut, Lostintranslation wasted lots of energy. He was keen and jumped exuberantly. He was awkward on landing three out following a big leap that arguably cost him the race and with this experience under his belt he will be a different proposition next time.

Duke Street
Richard Newland

8th, Newmarket, October 14
The versatile five-year-old ran a solid race off a career-high mark in the Cesarewitch on his first Flat start since February. He may mix chasing with hurdling this winter for a stable that places horses well. Duke Street is on a workable mark over hurdles and made a promising chase debut last month when a close third at Worcester.

Simon Crisford
2nd, York, October 14
This filly was worried out of it close home in this nursery, but she is progressing well and could pick up black type if she continues on an upward trajectory. Stepping up in distance to a mile, she recovered from an untidy start and travelled powerfully through the race. She seems versatile regarding ground and a return to 7f may spark further improvement.
