'Mogul's doing well and he might stay a mile and a half' - what connections say
Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Innisfree, Mogul and Arthur's Kingdom
We obviously had no trials at Lingfield or Chester so the waters are a little bit muddy at the moment with regard to our Derby team. Innisfree has had a little setback so if he makes the race he will be going straight there. Mogul is doing well. Physically he looks like a miler but we think he might stay a mile and a half. He has the option of the Derrinstown Derby Trial or the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot before Epsom, but we're leaning towards Leopardstown at this stage. He's a big, powerful horse and might need his first run. Arthur's Kingdom is another in the mix for the Derby and we're looking forward to seeing what he will do this year. We have a lot of horses to get out before the Derby picture becomes a bit clearer at our end.
William Haggas, trainer of Al Aasy
He’s probably going to run in the Newmarket Stakes this weekend.
Richard Hughes, trainer of Brentford Hope
He did well over the winter but he had a setback and I think the Derby will come too quick. I would have to rush him to get him there.
