Most eyes will be glued to Cheltenham today but it is worth finding some space for Naas on your Sky+ planner as there are a number of intriguing affairs that ought to prove very informative.

Prince Of Scars makes his debut over fences in the 2m3f beginners chase (1.35) and the way Gordon Elliott spoke about him in his stable tour suggests big things are expected.

He should prove to be a Grade 1 staying chaser in time and the first steps up that ladder are today. It will be disappointing if he is beaten, but he is unlikely to be a punting proposition.
