I wouldn't normally head to an all-weather meeting for the bet of the day when there are three British jumps cards, but once again there aren't many competitive races to choose from because of the ground and I don't like getting involved at short prices unless I can't help it.

In fairness, I may in any case have headed to Newcastle for Margaret's Mission in the Brewin Dolphin Handicap (6.20) as I'm sure she's well handicapped and in good enough form to take advantage of a slightly reduced mark.

At this point it might be worth taking on board that I've been following Margaret's Mission for a while and her failure to add to the hat-trick she achieved last summer has proved both frustrating and expensive.
