Sweetspots: Mirror can turn on the magic on Kempton sand

Credit: Edward Whitaker

Mark Rimell and Tom Marquand have a 60 per cent strike-rate when teaming up at Kempton. Magic Mirror bumped into one here last week and hopefully a change of headgear will do the trick in the 8.15.

Marc Goldstein operates at an impressive 80 per cent strike-rate when riding for Shaun Lycett at Worcester. The pair team up with Scotsbrook Night in the 3.40. She wasn’t beaten far two starts ago at the track and, if she gets the distance, she can outrun her odds.

David Barron and Ben Curtis combine for a 44 per cent strike-rate at Leicester. Pearl’s Calling makes her handicap debut in the 4.30. She hasn’t shown much yet but an 83-day break and a step up in trip could spark some improvement.
