Star Of Southwold carries a 5lb penalty for his narrow Chelmsford success but has been backed, possibly due to the recent record of owners Middleham Park Racing in the Carlisle Bell.

The well-known syndicate are bidding for their third win in four years in the historic mile handicap and the four-year-old looks a reasonable contender, for all that the drop back in trip is an unknown.
