Kalane should be suited by the return to handicap company after an encouraging return in Listed class last month
11.50 Doncaster

Kalane went well for a long way at Market Rasen five weeks ago on her first start since May and debut for Amy Murphy, holding every chance until three out in a race in which she was running off level weights with two rivals (the first two home) who were rated 13lb and 11lb her superior. She had produced a similar level of form on her previous start when runner-up to an improver at Haydock on only her second start in a handicap over fences.

The daughter of Kalanisi had admittedly not gone on as expected after making a winning chase debut for Charlie Longsdon around this time last season, but it is still early days and the change of scenery might well revitalise her. If it has she should be capable of taking advantage of the same mark as at Haydock and the drop from 3m will suit a horse whose two victories were at around 2m4f.
