Ludlow Placepot picks: Graeme Rodway relies on two to get through tricky opener

The opening claiming hurdle (12.30) at Ludlow looks a devilishly difficult race for a Placepot starter. It's low-quality stuff and there are only two places on offer, with just seven declared. Maybe it's worth siding with Garrison Commander and useful Flat horse Overhaugh Street.
Ambion Hill has long looked likely to make a better chaser than hurdler and appeals in the 2m4f novice handicap chase (1.00). It's also worth including the in-form Jobesgreen Lad.
Miranda has a class edge in the 2m mares' handicap hurdle (1.30) and rates as banker material.
Switch Hitter and Outonpatrol fought out the finish in a three-runner race at Hereford last time and both have consistent profiles. Stick with them in the 3m1½f handicap chase (2.00).
Only four run in the 2m novice handicap chase (2.30) and the winner will be needed. Golden Taipan has strong form and should run well, but it's worth putting Raya Time in the perm too.
Nelsons Rock won well at Taunton last time and is a banker in the 3m handicap hurdle (3.00).
