Lingfield Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with his perm for the all-weather fixture

Two of my best bets run at Lingfield and they make up the backbone of the Placepot perm.

Baby Steps is the first of them and should run well in the opening mile handicap (1.00). He will be a big price and it might also be worth taking out some insurance with Miquelon.

The mile nursery (1.30) is a tricky race and there are only two places on offer. Incumbent was a good second at Kempton last time and must be included. Bolton Abbey is the best back-up.

Nations Pride was a good second on his debut at Yarmouth and should win the mile novice (2.00).

Fae The Port has a big chance in the 1m2f claimer (2.30), while Mountrath could also run well.

My Frankel is Ryan Moore's only ride of the day and should be placed in the 1m4f handicap (3.00). He isn't the most consistent, though, so it's also worth including Protected Guest.

Shobiz sets the standard in the 6f maiden (3.30) and looks a better option than Tarhib, who made a promising debut at Newmarket 12 months ago. That was on heavy turf, though, and this is Polytrack.
