Limato may be limited if ground deteriorates

Muhajjal 2.05 Ascot

SP forecast 7-4

Shaped with plenty of encouragement when third on his debut at Newbury last month. That didn’t look much of a race at the time, but the fifth, sixth and seventh have all won since. This Group 2 Royal Lodge entry was weak in the market that day and is likely to come on plenty for the outing in what is traditionally an average maiden for this track. That said, there are a few big stables represented and he will probably have to improve.

Conclusion Not one to go mad about but experience might swing it for him .

Limato 4.30 Haydock

SP forecast 15-8

Produced the sprint performance of the season when easily winning the July Cup at Newmarket in July. Lost little in defeat behind the rampant Mecca’s Angel when dropped to what turned out to be an inadequate 5f at York for the first time. Should be well suited by the return to 6f and this doesn’t look quite as strong. However, he has been kept away from soft ground his whole career, so there will be a massive question mark over him if the forecast heavy rain materialises.

Conclusion Opposable if the ground has turned soft.
