RobertTyner's patient handling of his handicappers could bear dividends courtesy of Simple Steps in Clonmel's Club Stand Restaurant Handicap Chase (3.05).

Early in 2015, the Tikkanen mare began to find her form in point-to-points after failing to complete her first three starts. She won a race for novice riders at Nenagh very easily before Derek O'Connor rode her to a convincing victory in the Gain Mares Final at Ballynoe.

It may not have been one of the stronger editions of a long-established contest that carries much prestige on the point-to-point circuit, but she won in a style which suggested she might make the grade on the track at some stage.
