The return of Grade 1 Racing Post Novice Chase winner Min will hog the headlines at Gowran on a Saturday card that should provide plenty of clues for the future but might not provide many betting opportunities.

The handicaps may once again be the better races to rely on for punting purposes and, despite carrying top weight in testing ground, Pat's Oscar looks the answer in the Cathy O'Farrell AIRO Winner 2017 Mares Handicap Hurdle (1.45).

She does not have a ton of handicap experience but looks progressive and loves testing ground. She was a comfortable winner of a heavy ground novice hurdle at Perth in September and stepped up on that when running into a potentially well-handicapped horse in Poker Party in a handicap at Clonmel last week, going down by less than a length.
