Leicester Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with an affordable perm over the jumps

The best of the ground is at Leicester and, with more runners, it has to be the Placepot pick.

It doesn’t look easy to find the winner of the opening 2m4½f mares’ maiden hurdle (1.00), but Call The Fairies should be placed. She is consistent and has solid form, so rates a banker.

Alborkan shaped as if he would improve for his seasonal return when fourth at Plumpton last time and should run well in the 1m7½f handicap hurdle (1.30). He rates another banker.

Monarchofthegrange is a different class in the 1m7½f selling hurdle (2.00) and should win.

The 1m7½f novice hurdle (2.30) is tricky. Lydford had useful Flat form and looks a big player on his hurdles debut for Dan Skelton. Zabeel Champion is the obvious alternative.

The following 1m7½f juvenile hurdle is another tough one. Angels Landing showed promise on her hurdles debut at Ludlow and must go in, along with French import Macha.

Motion In Limine has a huge chance in the 2m4½f conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle (3.30) and it will be disappointing if he can’t make the places. Make him the fourth banker.
