Lee can head into big week with welcome winner

Christmas week is a big week for Kerry Lee, who may have as many as three runners with a serious chance in Tuesday's Coral Welsh Grand National, including defending champion Mountainous, who will be bidding to win the race for a record third time.

The weather, unseasonally dry, is probably against him and the Lee contender who made my admittedly long shortlist was Bishops Road, who ran an eyecatching fourth in the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle last month.

Before then Lee could do with a winner, having started this campaign much more slowly than her first.
