There was enough encouragement to be taken from Redwood Boy's latest staying-on fifth in a Clonmel handicap hurdle to suggest he's capable of a return to the winner's enclosure before long.

The nine-year-old has won only once, a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Clonmel, but he remains unexposed over fences and rates a leading player in the Ladies Handicap Chase under Rachael Blackmore (2.00).
