Had his problems last season, but a top-class staying hurdler at his best, as he showed when second to Paisley Park in the Stayers' Hurdle. He didn't jump particularly well on chasing debut here just two weeks ago and was badly outpaced at one stage over that 2m3½f, but showed a good attitude to win going away.
