The JP McManus-owned Anibale Fly (186) heads the adjusted RPRs for the Randox Health Grand National on the strength of his second in last year's Gold Cup.

Admittedly he has already finished behind Tiger Roll (178) twice in this race, but on both occasions he was reappearing relatively quickly after good runs in the Gold Cup and, given that he isn't entered in the festival showpiece this year, there are grounds for thinking he can improve on both his fourth place in 2018 and last year's fifth.

He finished ahead of both the 2018 Gold Cup winner Native River (185) and Bristol De Mai (181) at last year's festival and is set to receive weight from both at Aintree. Of the pair, Native River, who was never really at his best last season, looks the stronger candidate. However, both look set to run in the Gold Cup and a gap of just 22 days between the two races is a concern.
