The market here is dominated by Esprit De Somoza, who won at Stratford a couple of weeks back but was arguably lucky to do so as the runner-up, plus a horse that was ultimately pulled up, went on plenty soon enough and he picked up the pieces.
He did not jump all that well, either, which admittedly was something I held against Young Wolf when he was rated in the 140s. He runs off 110 today, which tells of his fall from grace but also comes from the BHA's quick-drop policy this season.
