With a weather warning for snow and ice countrywide overnight, Thurles will have to survive an 8am inspection on Sunday for its traditional big day of the year, which features two Grade 2 chases.

The best bets on the card though may well be in the last two races of the day, beginning with the Martin Hassett-trained No Grey Area's in the 1m7½f handicap hurdle (4.00).
