'I've no doubt he can go close' - Paul Kealy's best weekend bets

The chances of Clan Des Obeaux running in the Coral Trophy Handicap Chase at Kempton on Saturday were always going to be slim once he was beaten at Newbury in the Denman Chase and, with Frodon also not among the entries, the weights have risen quite dramatically.

Horses who were set to be miles out of the handicap are now all set to run off their correct weights and, while there has been some market adjustment, I’m not sure the layers have gone far enough with some of the lighter weights.

It was perfectly understandable to see the likes of Cap Du Nord shorten in price now he is in off 10st 3lb instead of being on 8st 9lb, but others have been largely ignored, and I can’t quite get my head round Ofalltheginjoints being among the outsiders at around 14-1.
