Kalanoura, Bodhicitta and Magic Fountain all have claims for big stables in the mile fillies' maiden, but the one who catches the eye is Silk Forest.

Trained by Paddy Twomey, who does really well with the small number of horses he keeps for the track, Silk Forest is a daughter of Kodiac who didn't make the racetrack as a juvenile.

She eventually got there early this month, when she ran a blinder at Leopardstown despite being pretty green in the straight. Billy Lee's mount was unsure what was expected of her when she first came off the bridle and the jockey had to pull her off the rail to get some racing space.
