After taking on Lalor and smart company at the November meeting here, the penny dropped for Defi Du Seuil at Exeter. He may have been a touch lucky as the runner-up Topofthegame lost 20 lengths at the start.

Black Op was joint favourite with Topofthegame for that quality Class 2 event at Exeter despite it being his chasing debut. Handled with kid gloves throughout, he must surely improve from that introduction as he looked a class act over hurdles last season.
