Huntingdon Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway with his perm for the jumps fixture

Two of my best bets of the day run at Huntingdon, so it makes sense to play the Placepot there.

The 3m1f handicap hurdle (12.30) is wide open. Moidore looks the solid option from a place perspective, but it is also worth including Mamoo at a bigger price.

Robin’s Dream sets a high standard in the 2m maiden hurdle (1.00) and it will be a surprise if he is beaten. A place should be a formality.

I’m quite bullish about the chances of Serjeant Painter in the 2m handicap hurdle (1.30). He ran a cracker when second on his debut for Ben Pauling at Market Rasen and is fancied to build on that.

The 2m½f handicap chase (2.05) is another toughie. Episode is a consistent type who must be included. It is also worth putting Meteorite in after a solid run at Worcester last time.

Quiet Penny looks one of the best bets on the card in the 2m7½f mares’ handicap chase (2.40). She was impressive when winning at Fontwell last time and can follow up.

Shanroe Tic Tec is another consistent type who should be hard to keep out of the places in the first division of the 2m4½f handicap hurdle (3.15).
