Vincent Ho is just the jockey to get a tune out of seasoned campaigner Zebrowski, who is tipped to open his local account in the American Club Challenge Cup (1.15) at Happy Valley.

Zebrowski raced into his four-year-old season in Australia and recorded strong placed form. He was runner-up in the Group 1 Australian Derby in Sydney and the Group 2 Herbert Power Handicap in Melbourne.

Those performances were a measure of his class potential, even if he failed to fulfil it before export. Now settled in Hong Kong, and with a cracking recent run at Sha Tin under his belt, this Class 2 1m1f handicap is perfect placement by trainer Caspar Fownes.

There may be a necessary variation to the front-running tactics used last year, however, as connections of All For St Paul’s are likely to want to do the same. It should still work in Zebrowski's favour and he is selected ahead of Joao Moreira’s mount Savaquin.

Moreira has given punters a steer by jumping on Like That in the Class 3 6f sprint handicap (2.50). His only previous association with the gelding resulted in a win over 5f at Sha Tin in January. Drawn in the inside stall, he will have every chance.

Carroll Street was badly hampered on his reappearance at Sha Tin last month and trailed in last behind Nervous Witness. He never had a prayer of beating the impressive winner and deserves another chance.

It was a similar story with Sun Of Makfi, who finished eighth over course and distance two weeks ago. He was checked and hampered and almost fell on the turn out of the home straight.

It is noteworthy that Zac Purton has the ride on the David Hall-trained gelding in the 1m½f Class 4 handicap (1.45). This new association can bring instant success.

The Danny Shum-trained Romantic Combo, with Moreira aboard, also has excellent prospects and looks the main danger.
