Hills colt starting from a handy mark at Nottingham

This son of Helmet showed plenty of promise when second behind impressive winner Bin Battuta in a 6f Windsor maiden in June and looked a certain future winner after pulling clear of the third with a strong late burst.

Charlie Hills's colt has disappointed in two outings since, but he raced too keenly from off the pace in a race dominated by front-runners when fifth at Newmarket a couple of starts ago and then surely didn't show his true form when beaten 16 lengths in ninth at Windsor last time.

His poor recent form means he has been given a potentially lenient mark of 70 for this handicap debut and Sakurajima gets in nicely at the top of the weights in today's 0-70 nursery. Danny Tudhope has ridden only seven times for this yard in the last five seasons for three winners and an impressive 43 per cent strike-rate. His booking looks significant.
