North: Richard Young

Boric (4.25 Sedgefield, nap)

Suited by a thorough test on good ground and ran well after a break behind a progressive subsequent winner over three miles at Perth last month. Return to this trip ideal and fancied to go close.

Lambourn: James Burn

Verdana Blue (4.10 Kempton, nap)

Nicky Henderson could hardly have found a better opportunity for this six-year-old, who showed her class by winning on the Flat at Chelmsford three weeks ago. She will relish the decent ground and appears a big player at the champion trainer's go-to track.

Others to follow
Kempton 3.40 Casablanca Mix, 4.45 Midnight Monty.
Sedgefield 2.45 The Lincoln Lawyer, 4.25 Mercers Court, 5.30 Risk And Co.

West Country: Andrew King

Copain De Classe (3.40 Kempton, nap)

Has undergone wind surgery since last season and will have ground conditions in his favour at a course that should suit.

Others to follow
Kempton 2.00 Quel Destin, 2.30 Tikkinthebox, 3.05 Grand Sancy, 4.10 Unison, 5.15 Hugos Horse.

Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason

Boric(4.25 Sedgefield, nap)

Just touched off by a progressive rival off a 2lb higher mark in this race last year and showed enough on his recent Perth reappearance to suggest he could go one better.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Verdana Blue(4.10 Kempton)

Underlined her well-being when successful on the Flat at Chelmsford recently and can make a winning return to hurdling.

Longshot: Simon Giles

Accord (4.45 Kempton)

Disappointing effort switched back to fences last time but won off a 6lb higher mark last autumn on chasing debut so worth one last chance to fulfil earlier promise tried in first-time tongue-tie here.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Tudor City (4.50 Naas)

Runner-up to Hamley in a premier handicap over today's trip at the Curragh five weeks ago, the Tony Martin-trained six-year-old makes plenty of appeal and gets the vote to record a fourth Flat win.

With British racing at Kempton and Sedgefield, there are no Newmarket tips today.
