Sent off an unconsidered 66-1 shot for his debut in a 6f maiden at the Curragh last month, Zentopia showed much more than the bare result suggests. He finished sixth, beaten just under nine lengths, but that doesn't tell the whole story.
The 17-runner field split into two groups and Zentopia finished third of eight in the group on the near side. McCauley's Tavern went off like a scalded cat and must have been half-a-dozen lengths in front of everything passing the 2f pole and Zentopia found everything happening a bit quickly and looked like finishing last at that stage.
