Any horse like Balko Des Flos who has won a Galway Plate and a Ryanair Chase has to be hugely competitive in any arena. The gelding should appreciate this sharp 3m1f.

Bristol De Mai runs here rather than under top weight in the Grand National. He ran an excellent race in last month’s Gold Cup considering Cheltenham has never been his ideal venue, but this flat, left-handed course should be. It’s odd he has never won in the spring, including three runs at this meeting, but he has had a lighter campaign this season.
