I'm convinced Thundering Nights is a top-class performer at her best and she showed that when she beat subsequent dual American Grade 1 winner Santa Barbara in the Group 1 Pretty Polly at the Curragh in June, with the front two well clear of third-placed Cayenne Pepper.

Thundering Nights hasn't matched that form in two subsequent starts, but she was returning from a break and might have needed the run when behind the reopposing Grand Glory and Audarya in a Group 1 at Deauville in August and she ran in a hot race at the Curragh last time.

She was no match for La Petite Coco and Love in that Group 2, but the winner is improving rapidly. That is strong form in the context of this fillies' race.

Thundering Nights has the class to shake up this opposition if on top form.
