Graeme Rodway with an affordable Placepot perm for Chelmsford's evening card

There are several handicaps at Chelmsford and the competitive racing is ideal for a Placepot.

The opening 1m2f handicap (4.00) features a couple of well-handicapped runners in Stormingin and Muraaqeb. They should be good prices so include both.

The following 1m2f handicap (4.30) looks a solid opportunity for a banker. Prosili was a good second over course and distance last week and should make the places again.

The third 1m2f handicap on the card (5.00) is a quality affair. The formerly classy Yuften heads the weights and must be included along with Inclyne for in-form Andrew Balding.

Stick with Balding in the 6f novice (5.30). He saddles Perfect Sunset, who showed improved form after wind surgery when second at Kempton last time and is open to further progress.

Lomu makes plenty of appeal in the 5f handicap (6.00) following a good fourth at Lingfield last time. He is usually strong at the finish so could run into a place late from stall four.

Course-and-distance form could prove the key to the second 5f handicap (6.30). You’re Cool likes Chelmsford and returns to the track after a good run at Wolverhampton last time.
