Graeme Rodway fancies his chances of landing the Placepot at Newcastle

Credit: Edward Whitaker

The opening 2m½f handicap (1.55) looks like a good opportunity for Rochester House to complete a hat-trick. His best form is on turf, though, so it's also worth including Cosmelli.

Duty Of Care went off a short price when third on his debut at Kempton 12 days ago and shaped like he would improve for the experience. He should win the 7f maiden (2.25).

Tukhoom looked like he needed a return to further when fifth over 6f at Wolverhampton last time and makes plenty of appeal in the 7f handicap (2.55). Put Glasvegas in as well.

Monday's full card at Newcastle

It looks worth taking a chance on the drop in trip suiting Camacho Man in the mile handicap (3.25). He didn't stay 1m4f at Wolverhampton last time. Chosen World is the best alternative.

Baronial Pride is one of my best bets of the day in the following mile handicap (3.55) and I'm keen to field against likely favourite Ursa Minor, so put Mabre into the perm as well.

The 6f handicap (4.25) is another race where it's worth including two. Tathmeen has been in good form and looks the solid place option, while Katheefa could run well at a big price.
