Good reasons to Assume that Wachman's filly can land the feature

Assume (second right) just goes down to Creggs Pipes at Killarney in July, but looks to have excellent claims at Gowran tonight

The prospect of seeing some good class Flat racing on some genuinely fast ground is something we have not seen much of this summer and it certainly adds something to one of Gowran Park's traditionally best Flat cards of the year.

Dermot Weld's newcomer Acclamatio adds something to the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (5.30), principally because most of those that have run before don't inspire much confidence. The one exception to that though seems to be the Michael Halford-trained Moritzburg. This Dutch Art colt has some questions to answer after a disappointing effort in a good Curragh maiden on Derby weekend, but his two runs before that look very good in the context of this race, particularly the latter of those two efforts when he was a staying on in third, beaten less than three lengths, in the Listed race at Naas won by Peace Envoy. None of the others can boast that level of form and he looks to have a strong chance.
