Glorious Artist set to brush rivals aside

Glorious Artist has shown more than enough to suggest he can win a race like this and has caught the eye on all four outings. He was green before staying on into sixth in race that's working out well on his debut at Newbury and can be fogiven his defeat at that course next time when he didn't handle quick going

Charlie Hills's colt was then drawn wide in a 6f maiden at Pontefract on his next start and did well to lose out by less than two lengths in fourth after being forced to race on the outside throughout. He looked a nursery type after that, but ran well back in maiden company at Chester last time, finishing a half-length behind in second.

He finally gets the chance to try his hand in handicaps this evening and is surely capable of making up into better than a 78-rated performer. That mark gets him in nicely at the bottom of the weights and he can take full advantage with the step up to 7f promising to suit. Fran Berry is also a positive booking.
