This three-year-old showed his ability with cut in the ground when running away with a hot 1m2f handicap at Epsom on Derby day and, while he is without a win since, he has been contesting decent races and could bounce back to form this afternoon.

Sylvester Kirk's colt was eighth behind New Caledonia in a red-hot handicap at Ascot two starts ago and has a good chance of reversing form with fourth-placed Wild Hacked on today's slower ground, as that rival appears better under quicker conditions

Gawdawpalin was only third in a five-runner race at Newbury on soft ground last time, but that was another decent race with the winner, Leah Freya, a rapidly improving type and runner-up Not Never a classy performer who was returning from a break and goes well fresh.
