1pt each-wayIt is difficult to know whether to give up or persevere with a horse who has been frustrating you – a quandary that I have had with Dentley De Mee for quite a while.

Sod's Law normally dictates that they win once you've thrown in the towel, but as I believed Dentley De Mee was well handicapped off a chase mark of 130, I've got to give him one more go off 10lb lower.

He runs in the Ronnie Holbech And Paladin 1940 Novices' Handicap Chase (2.15) at Taunton and, as he has been contesting Class 2 or 3 company since he went over fences, I'm relying on this drop in class doing the trick.
