'Frodon has improved since his Kempton win and is in a really good place'

Paul Nicholls, trainer of Cyrname, Dynamite Dollars, Frodon and Politologue
Cyrname runs on Saturday at Ascot and if he has a hard race I'd say he's probably unlikely to go to Cheltenham. But if anything was to happen like Ascot being off it gives us another option. I haven't ruled anything in or out but Saturday is the number one target. Dynamite Dollars ran very well on Saturday. For a first run out of novice company and after a year off to be beat three lengths by Altior was a hell of a run. I suspect, at this stage, we'll go for the Champion Chase. He's hasn't yet gone over two and a half miles over fences and perhaps one day he will but he showed on Saturday he's still got plenty of boot and speed. This would be Frodon's number one target. He is in the Gold Cup but at this moment he's almost certain to run in the Ryanair, especially if the ground is on the slow side. He won it last year and came back to form at Kempton. He's improved since and is in a really good place. Politologue is also entered in the Champion Chase and could conceivably run in either. I haven't spoken to John [Hales, owner] yet but Politologue has won over both trips and ran well in the Champion Chase last year. We've kept him fresh purposefully to go to Cheltenham.

Nigel Twiston-Davies, trainer of Riders Onthe Storm and Bristol De Mai
The Ryanair is the plan for Riders Onthe Storm after the Ascot Chase on Saturday and Bristol De Mai runs in the Gold Cup.

Harry Whittington, trainer of Saint Calvados
He's very well and it's unlikely he'll run Saturday at Ascot. The Ryanair is the right race for him at Cheltenham and he's proven his best performances have come off the back of a gap. He gave 15lb to Oldgrangewood at Cheltenham last time and lost by the finest of margins and Lalor [third] bounced back to form and we were giving him 8lb as well. I'd hope he can run a big race.
