Grand Sancy was slightly ahead of Beat The Judge when taking a nasty fall at the final flight at Kempton on these terms. He was due to go chasing and that wasn't ideal, so this will help restore his confidence.
He had a fine novice season until blowing out at Cheltenham in March. It included a victory here against his elders in the Kingwell Hurdle when beating a former winner of this race, Sceau Royal.
