Fontwell Placepot picks: Richard Birch has three bankers in his perm

Serious Charges, who represents the Anthony Honeyball team which does so well at Fontwell, rates banker material in the 2m5f novice hurdle (12.45), first leg of the Placepot.

The son of Soldier Of Fortune produced a powerful display of galloping at Exeter last month and should relish this longer trip.

Kotmask receives a 14lb weight-for-age allowance in the 2m3f handicap hurdle (1.15), which makes him of considerable interest.

The consistent Sheldon is unlikely to be far away at the finish, and looks worth including too.

Foxboro is a strong fancy to take advantage of a significant drop in class in the 2m3f handicap chase (1.50), while Dream In The Park, runner-up in all three starts to date, stands out in the 2m1f maiden hurdle (2.25).

If Global Wonder reproduces his impressive Plumpton run last Monday he will be mighty hard to beat under a 7lb penalty in division one of the 2m1f handicap hurdle (3.00).

If the race comes too quickly for Suzi Best’s runner, there’s a decent chance that Hititi can take advantage.

Zillion, who looks on a decent mark over hurdles, and low-weighted That Ole Chestnut are the recommendations for division two (3.35).
