Juan Elcano made up a lot of ground to win in heavy conditions on his Haydock debut last month. However, he moved like a colt who would be much better on a sound surface.

King's Command won the novice event over 6f on this course last month in which the last two winners were Quorto and Invincible Army. He led, was passed and looked destined for fourth, but he came again to win by a neck despite losing a shoe. He will have learned much more from that than by winning by three lengths on the bridle.
