Beat the shutdown with a winner: our experts reveal their best bets of the day

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Band Of Outlaws (2.40 Naas)

A decent handicapper on the Flat, he scored smoothly over hurdles at Limerick in December and can follow up.

Longshot: Mark Friar

Gheryaf (2.32 Cagnes-Sur-Mer)

Showed ability as a two-year-old when winning on the Polytrack at Chantilly in 2017. She finished fifth on her return to action on this surface at Pau recently where she looked in need of the run. That will have brought her on nicely and she could be overpriced.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Front View (4.10 Naas)

Started favourite on his debut at Gowran Park last month but proved no match for impressive 11 length winner Blue Sari. He finished well clear of the rest on that occasion and can go one better.

Mark Walsh is 6-12 when riding at Naas for Joseph O'Brien, which has yielded a level-stakes profit of £9.40. He takes the mount on course-and-distance winner Konitho.
